Frankfurt, the city that re-born from ashes of World War

Picture
What we see Frankfurt today is entirely different from what it used to be appeared or seen half a century before. The entire city of Frankfurt was devastated and destructed during the second world was as an end result of heavy bombing it faced by the fighter planes of the allied forces. The condition was even so worse of the city that it was entirely rolled over and there a new Frankfurt was placed out there. Now the new Frankfurt has a skyline that has numerous skyscrapers.  Now the city has been transferred into a business and banking center having a cosmopolitan population as originated from the different parts of the world. The Frankfurt airport is a major business and banking center having the cosmopolitan population that has arrived from many different parts of the world. This airport is one of the Germany’s busiest and largest airports and is a major center for air travel in Western Europe. Apart from your air ticket next you need to take decision about the one of the reasonable Frankfurt hotels in the city.

However, one can find and can have a view of the old Germany and Frankfurt as in small pockets as the past of the city could not be rubbished out entirely. One such area is Romerberg that is even not far away from the primary railway station, there you will get replica of an old town square. This site has been the city center since Roman days. And that past tradition is still alive there with about half-timbered structures that keep the mayor’s office and city council. The square in itself is too spacious and is offered only as pedestrian area. In proximity to the square is located the busy streets of Berliner Strasse(Berlin Street) and Rossmarkt(Ross Market), and further adding the pedestrian-zoned shopping extravaganza at the Zeil. These are all much busy downtown areas as lined with department stores and businesses. This all area and region shows up the real cosmopolitan structure of the city.

Then after arrives Main in Frankfurt-am-Main that is referred to the Main River that smoothly flows as around the middle of the city. There are many tour boats out there and even an art museum on a small island in the middle of the river. This indeed is a nice spot to sit, walk or stand and see the river flowing by. Well there are two other centers of the modern art there that are much famous for the exhibits out there. One is the Museum fur Moderne Kunst, which is situated close to the Romerberg. It is a modern work of architectural masterpiece that time to time organizes the current contemporary art exhibitions. Other museum of the modern art is the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt that is too close to Romerberg. It is a very well reputed museum in Europe and organizes the best and top touring shows.
